Privacy policy

Short version: no cookies, no ad trackers, and your email is used for one thing only, my newsletter. Last updated 14 October 2026.

Who is responsible

This site is run by Marcin Struzik, who is the controller of the personal data described here. Questions or requests: hello@imstruzik.com.

The newsletter and the free library

When you sign up on the home page or on Free downloads, your email address goes to GetResponse, the service that sends my newsletter. You then get a confirmation email, and nothing is sent until you confirm (double opt-in). GetResponse also records when and from where you signed up and confirmed, and whether emails are opened or clicked.

I use your address to send the newsletter, about every two weeks, plus the short welcome series and the link to the free library. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email, or by writing to me. I keep your address until you unsubscribe. I never sell or share it.

Analytics without cookies

I count visits with Umami. It sets no cookies, does not track you across sites and does not store your IP address. I see aggregated numbers: which pages are read, where visitors come from, the type of device, and a few clicks such as a PDF download or a newsletter signup. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in knowing what is useful on this site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Because no cookies are used, there is no cookie banner.

What stays in your browser

The site saves a few small values in your browser's local storage: that you unlocked the free library, which free PDF brought you to the newsletter, and, if you asked for it, that your visits should not be counted. They never leave your device and you can clear them in your browser settings at any time.

Other services the pages load

  • Hosting. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web server, GitHub processes your IP address to deliver the pages and keep them secure. GitHub privacy statement.
  • Fonts. The typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers. Google privacy policy.
  • Videos. The video thumbnails come from YouTube's image servers. A video player only loads when you press play, and it uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
  • Email. If you write to me, your message is stored in my mailbox and used only to reply.

The Email Blur extension

Email Blur works entirely in your browser. It does not send anything anywhere; it only remembers its own on/off setting. The source code is public on GitHub.

Affiliate links

A few links are affiliate links, for example to Screen Studio. They are always marked as such. If you buy through one, I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The shop, not this site, handles that purchase and its data.

Your rights

You can ask me for access to your data, its correction or deletion, a copy of it, or to restrict or object to its processing. Write to hello@imstruzik.com and I will answer within a month. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority; in Poland that is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
